azotadores, Megalopyge Opercularis, tree asp, flannel moth, pussy moth

So these are the guys I posted in the previous post asking help in identifying.

Well several of you knew exactly what they are and issued warnings to be careful.
So careful we were!

Here are I belive 16 of them; we picked them out of the tree with kitchen tongs.

There are still a few more in the tree.

Eeek , very scary!   This thing was coming at me!

oufff, just look at em! blimey!

Here I rolled some of them over, scary!

Look at those little tufts, they are almost cute aren't they!

Even though I didn't really want to, we ended up flushing these guys.  I was just too worried about us or the dogs getting stung; especially since they were falling on to the patio...

fuzzy hairy white caterpillar critter

About a week or so ago a friend sent me a photo of a critter to see if I could identify it.  I couldn't

This morning I walked out and noticed these lying on the patio!  EWWWWWWKKKK!

It's the same darn critter!

Looking up I saw these in my sour orange tree; they are moving, crawling, so I am assuming (yes, I know what they say) that they are some kind of caterpillar.

I have searched and searched the internet and my books and can not figure out what they are.

If they are just butterflies or moths then I'll let them have a few leaves and be on their way, but if they are going to damage my tree I want them gone!

Can any of you help me to identify them?

sculptures of Leonora Carrington

Leonora Carrington is a British-born Mexican Surrealist.  She was born in Clayton Green, South Lancaster, Lancashire on April 6, 1917. In addition to sculpture, she is also a surrealist painter and a novelist, and currently lives in Mexico City.

Tom and I took the opportunity recently to walk the Paseo de Montejo and view the current sculpture exhibit that is installed there.  Unfortunately we went mid day so the sun was flat and  the pictures are not all that great.  There are apparently 27 pieces although I did not count them.  They are fanastical surrealist fantasy creatures in bronze, and really quite enjoyable to look at.  As I understand it these are fairly recent pieces, within the past 2-3 years. And since Ms Carrington is in her 90's I feel fairly certain she has apprentices that have done the actual creation and crafting based on her input, design, and esthetic.
