A week ago tomorrow we met up with a group of old friends, and met some new friends for lunch at a relatively new restaurant.

Very cute place, the designs painted on the walls are very cute, nicely set tables and chairs, large front patio; some roof covered, others with umbrellas. Bathrooms are clean! and fully stocked.
there are some other really cute designs, but you'll have to go see them for yourselves |
They are currently working on the inside to enclose and air condition it before summer gets here so for now it is patio seating.
And even though the menu's hours say open on Monday, they aren't, At least that's what happened when we tried to have lunch there this past Monday with a completely different group.
There must have been 12 of us around the table and service was quite good and pretty fast given that we all were ordering lots of different things. One meal came way later than the rest, and the recipient was dis-satisfied. It was mussels and she assumed one type but got another (black VS green lipped or something like that).
So the menu needs to be a bit more specific when there are varieties available to mention what variety is being served.
Also one of the Specials was called lamb ribs (costillos de cordero), and what they actually appeared to be were standing rib roast chops, beautiful meaty little chops which were absolutely to die for, the sauce was a cranberry something something reduction. Unfortunately when I heard ribs I assume the scrawny little bones that you gnaw on to pull away bits of meat - I so wish I had known, I'd have ordered them for sure, so Next time it will be lamb ribs for me.
All around the table the food was being complemented, and as stated there was quite a variety at our table.
As you can probably tell - I neglected to take a single food foto!
mil disculpes!
Tom had a Tira Misu dessert and proclaimed it the best in Merida, and in his top 5!
They also offer a Tira Misu Frambuesa, but it's more of a Trifle than a Tira Misu!

We give this restaurant high marks, the food was very good, the service was amazing - we will definitely be going back!
I think the waitress said her name was Shirley (pronounced shearleeee)
Here's a peek at the menu and wine service.
